This was the first painting in a series rooted in one thing-authenticity. Being uniquely you.
It was also my first time painting outside, right at The Promontory Point(Hyde Park). But I quickly realized... I wasn't just there to paint. I was there to experience-to have present, beautiful conversations with strangers, that became wonderful moments in time. Some stayed for a few seconds. Others for an minutes & hours. And each one added a new layer.
It was also my first time building a piece using layered canvas-physically shaping the work like how life shapes us: layer by layer, story by story.

The beauty in it all? We're all layered, just like this piece.
